The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kogi State Council has felicitated with Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo on his victory at Supreme Court affirming his landslide victory at the November 2023 Gubernatorial election.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by the Council Chairman, Alhaji Seidu Ademu Haruna and Secretary, Comrade Olusegun Ayindero-Oyenibi.
NUJ described the victory as a testament to the overall mandate the people of the State overwhelmingly gave to Governor Ododo at the poll.
“With the legal tussle put to rest, the Governor will be able to do more for the development of the State and be focused on delivering more dividends of democracy to the people.
“We are using this medium to also reassured Governor Ododo of the commitment of NUJ in partnership with the State Government to project his laudable achievements, polices and programmes to the outside world” the statement said
While calling on the Governor to continue to give priority attention to working journalists in Kogi State, the Union prayed for more wisdom for him to take the State to the next level of development.
NUJ also congratulated the Deputy Governor, Elder Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu, members of the State Executive Council and all political appointees on the resounding victory.
