2027 : APC Scribe, Meseko Assures of Victory For Tinubu

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress APC , Hon. Duro Meseko has said that the second term president Bola Ahmed Tinubu will come with ease, saying the APC led administration has performed creditably.

Jon. Meseko stated this shortly after a Stakeholders’ engagement of Bunu District in Kabba-Bunu Local Government council held in Lokoja.

According to him, the quick recovery of the economy and the political stability that has made the export revenues without the crude oil component to surge to historic performance.

He noted that the just concluded bye election where APC won 14 seats out 16 seats in the parliamentary election is an indication that APC will have smooth ride come 2027 general election.

He described the victory of the bye election as a mock test for the 2027 general election.

The APC stalwart pointed out that, president Tinubu inherited a tattered and battered economy where government used 90 per cent of its earnings to service debts , stressing that within two years in office , he has been able to hedge the naira with exchange stability.

He said , with every variable of development, the government of president Bola Tinubu has performed miracles to the applause from the IMF and Bretton woods organisations who openly confessed to the economic wizardry of president Tinubu.

He called for understanding of Nigerians that although, the reforms and subsequent success being recorded are not fully translated to surplus foods on the tables of Nigerians on the streets , admitted that the administration has ended queue at the fuel stations .

Meseko explained that as national officer of the party he has to use his vantage position to call stakeholders from Bunu District to an engagement to discuss issues affecting the district.

He hinted that Bunu District as one of the oldest districts in the zone has been systematically marginalised along political line being the only district of its generation without the local government council of her own.

He charge all sons and daughters of Bunuland who are privileged to be in political positions and those in private and corporate organizations to unite for the development of the zone.

The APC spokesman also commended Kogi State Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for his leadership, noting efforts to reposition the state for good governance and development.

He explained that the stakeholders meeting was convened to address infrastructure deficits in the Bunnu community of Kabba/Bunnu Local Government Area, as well as to strategize on mobilizing residents to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise.

Also speaking at the meeting, the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara, said the forum was an opportunity to strategize on how the Bunu district could gain greater political relevance ahead of 2027.

The retired Navy Officer added that Governor Ododo had placed the welfare of the district among his top priorities especially in the areas of security , education and infrastructure development among others.

Commissioner of Education, Wemi Jones noted that the Stakeholders’ have commence mobilisation and sensitisation of the people to actively participate in the ongoing continuous Voters Registration.
