The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has been honored with the prestigious Institutional Partnership and Support Award by the Federal University Lokoja (FUL).
In a statement issued by the Director, Public Relations and Protocol of the Polytechnic, Uredo Omale on Wednesday, the statement said the recognition was to acknowledge the institution’s exceptional partnership and support towards academic development and institutional collaboration.
According to her, the award presentation took place during the Distinguished Awards Presentation Ceremony, held as part of the 9th Convocation Ceremony of the University on Tuesday 14th October, 2025.
Presenting the award, the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, expressed heartfelt appreciation to individuals and institutions that have contributed to the University’s growth and transformation.
He commended the Rector and other recipients for their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to promoting academic excellence and institutional synergy.
“This recognition is our modest but heartfelt way of rewarding good conduct and outstanding service,” he said.
The recipients of the awards were drawn from academic institutions, government agencies and partner organizations, in recognition of their meritorious service and commitment to educational advancement.
Principal Officers, members of Management and Academic Board of the Polytechnic were present to witness the historic moment.
