The Academic Board of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja at its emergency meeting on Thursday, 4th September, 2025, approved the Academic Calendar for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Director, Public Relations and Protocol of the Polytechnic Uredo Omale which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja.
According to the statement, the approved Academic Calendar as released by the office of the Director, Academic Planning indicated that the resumption date for the new academic session for new and returning students except those on SIWES is Monday, 15th September, 2025 while those on SIWES will resume on Monday, 8th December, 2025.
The statement added that registration commences on 15th September, 2025 and will run till 10th October, 2025, while late registration which attracts a penalty fee of five thousand naira (₦5,000) will run between 13th and 17th October, 2025.
In addition, orientation and matriculation for new students will be held between 27th and 29th October, 2025.
The Rector, on behalf of the Management and Academic Board, seized the opportunity to wish the students safe trip back to the campus.
