The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has bemoaned the contractors handling the renovation of the State’s Specialist Hospital, Lokoja for executing the project below the standard specified in the contractual agreement of the project.

The Governor who made the observation on Thursday while on a tour of ongoing projects across the state capital, Lokoja,
stressed that his administration would never accept project done without adherence to quality by contractors and expressed total displeasure with the ministries and parastatals saddle with the responsibility of monitoring and supervising the hospital project.

He lamented that it was unimaginable that his administration was spending so much funds with the quality of work ongoing adding that they have breached the part of the contract on delivery

The Governor gave the contractor December as a deadline to ensure that they correct every shabby work done and promised to hold responsible those who recommended and certified the company for the job.

He expressed satisfaction on the quality of jobs done at Ganaja flyover and the GYB Modern Science School, Adankolo.

The Governor also inspected the River Niger embankment projects along the old market , Lokoja.
