Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communication Mr Kingsley Fanwo has said that Senator Smart Adeyemi is only wasting the precious time of the Honourable Court with frivolous suits, noting that his case lack merit as affirmed by the Appeal Court on Friday.

Fanwo who stated this on Saturday while commenting on the judgement passed by the Appeal Court in Abuja where the appeal filed by a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State, Senator Smart Adeyemi , seeking to nullify the primary election of the party, which produced Usman Ododo as the APC Governorship candidate for the election slated for November 11, 2023 in the state was dismissed for lacking in merit.

He said that “It is not a surprise that the Appeal Court affirmed what is a known fact”, stressing that Senator Adeyemi lost the primary election woefully.

“Senator Smart Adeyemi is only wasting the precious time of the Honourable Court with frivolous suits. We were never distracted by his shenanigans. The Ododo/Joel Team has continued massive consultations to sell the Consolidation Agenda of the Team.

“On a daily basis, hundreds of opposition leaders and members decamp to the All Progressives Congress, the political party that has been dominant in the state since 2015.

“Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is the choice of the Kogi people and this will be made clear on November 11, 2023. He possesses the skill set to take Kogi State to the next level.

“We won’t be overconfident but we are confident of victory. While some opposition parties are busy dwelling in archaic strategies of raising false alarms, we are busy talking to the people who will decide the next Governor of the State. No party is working as hard as the APC is doing.

“With our intimidating political structure of an incumbent Governor, Deputy Governor, three Senators, six House of Reps Members, twenty-two House of Assembly Members, twenty-one Council Chairmen, two hundred and thirty nine Councillors and other political office holders; we are still working hard to ensure massive victory” he stated.
