CUSTECH Mourns The Sudden Demise Of An Academic Staff Member

The entire community of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara has been thrown into mourning over the sudden death of Mr. Femi Adegboye, a lecturer in the Faculty of Science, Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

In a statement by Balogun Omeiza David Head, Public Relations Unit, CUSTECH, Osara, said His sudden death occurred on Saturday 9th of September, 2023 as he was waiting to board a taxi from Kaduna Junction along Lokoja/Abuja Expressway to Osara his place of work.

According to reports, the lecturer who hailed from Egbe town was killed by a hit and run vehicle was said to have badly cleared him off the road which eventually led to his death.

The Vice Chancellor of CUSTECH, Osara, Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku has expressed his condolences to the immediate family of late Mr. Femi Adegboye and the entire CUSTECH community.

He said, “The death of Mr. Femi Adegboye came to us all as a rude shock and we have no reasons whatsoever to question God. As much as we wanted to have a long lasting working relationship with Mr. Femi Adegboye, the result of his untimely death has cut off our relationships and I must confess that this is a hard pill for us to swallow as an institution”

Speaking further, Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku consoled the family that late Mr. Femi Adegboye left behind with comforting words for them to accept what has happened as the will of God and that no amount of tears and gnashing of teeth can bring him back to life. He prayed that God Almighty will grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and give his grieving family and the CUSTECH community the fortitude to bear his irreparable loss.

The late Mr. Femi Adegboye was born on 3rd June, 1985. He is survived by his wife, children and extended family members. His burial service will be held according to Christian rites on Thursday 14th September, 2023 at his hometown in Egbe, Kogi State.
