——Commends Governor Ododo
Kogi State Governor His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been commended for his humane characteristics in appointing 30 Ward Special Assistants (WSA) from the 10 Electoral Wards of Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area of the State.
The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Good Governance and Due Process Honourable Aturu Ojo gave the commendation while interacting with journalists in Ogori-Magongo on Thursday.
He said the appointments would no doubt boost the image of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the Council, noting that the three appointees per ward were grassroot politicians who will continue to contribute their quota to the political development of the local government.
Honourable Aturu who also congratulated the Governor for the peaceful conduct of the APC local government primary election for Chairmanship and Councillorship positions in the Council, assured that APC will come out victorious in the October 19th Council’s elections.
The Special Adviser lauded His Excellency, Governor Ododo, for giving consideration to women’s inclusiveness and gender equality in Kogi politics, noting that no political party in the state has even done that since the return of democracy in 1999.
He urged the people of the State particularly the people of Ogori-Magongo to redouble their unalloyed support to the Governor and the party.
