Today, January 15th, we commemorate the Annual Army Remembrance Day, honoring the bravery and sacrifices of our Nigerian Army.
As the Country Head of Nigeria Young Women of Africa (YWOA), I, Amb. Asmawu Idris, extend my heartfelt sympathies to the families and loved ones of our fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our great nation.
We remember their courage, loyalty, and dedication to protecting our country and its people. May their memories continue to inspire us to strive for a united and peaceful Nigeria.
Let us take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by our armed forces and recommit ourselves to supporting them in their noble endeavors.
We honor the memories of heroes like:
– Lieutenant Oluwafemi Odushina
– Captain Kenneth Onubah
– Lieutenant Colonel Abu Ali
– Major SK Umaru
Who have paid the ultimate price for our nation’s peace and security while sending her condolences to their wives.
May their sacrifices not be in vain. May we continue to strive for a Nigeria where peace, justice, and freedom reign supreme.
As we remember our fallen heroes, let us also acknowledge the sacrifices of their families, who have had to endure the pain of losing a loved one.
We stand in solidarity with them and assure them that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.
Amb. Asmawu Idris,
Country Head of Nigeria,
