The Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman on behalf of the Management, Staff and Students of the institution felicitates with Distinguished Senator (Engineer) Abubakar Ohere on the auspicious occasions of his 58th birthday celebration.
Prof. Usman described Engineer Ohere as an inspiration to many, as he always displays a strong character of a detribalised personality.
He further describes Engineer Ohere as someone who chooses merit over tribal or religious affinity.
He appreciates the celebrant for his invaluable contributions to the development and advancement of Kogi State in various offices he occupied, particularly as Commissioner and Senator representing Kogi Central.
“We celebrate you today for your worthy and immense contributions to the emergence of the new Kogi State and for your selfless service to Nigeria and humanity.
“Your unwavering commitment to the development of our state and country as well as your unrelenting support for education are an inspiration to us all.
“The Polytechnic community is grateful for your guidance and support which have been instrumental in shaping the Institution’s growth and progress,” he said.
The Rector prayed God Almighty in His infinite mercy to continue to grant Engineer Ohere the needed wisdom, knowledge and understanding and good health.
