President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has received the second list of President Ahmed Tinubu’s ministerial nominees for confirmation.
The list that was delivered by the former Speaker of the House of Representative and Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, towards the tail end of the screening of the first batch had the son of the former Governor of Kogi State, late Prince Abubakar Audu as the only nominee that successfully made it into the list from Kogi State.
The list delivered by President Tinubu and read by the Senate President include:

2. Simon Lalong – Plateau
3. Bello Matawalle – Zamfara
4. Tunji Alausa – Lagos
5. Adegboyega Oyetola – Osun
6. Uba Maigari Ahmadu – Taraba
7. Lola Ade John – Lagos
8. Dr. Isiak Salako – Ogun
9. Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri – Bayelsa
10. Dr Yusuf Tanko Sununu – Kebbi
11. Prof. Tahir Mamman – Adamawa
12. Zephaniah Bitrus Jisalo – FCT
13. Ibrahim Geidam – Yobe
14. Dr. Bosun Tijjani – Ogun
15. Dr. Maryam Shetty – Kano
16. Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu – Kogi
17. Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi – Niger

The Senate President after the reading of the list called for the adjournment of plenary till Friday, 4th of August to enable the Senate prepare ahead of the next screening exercise.
