The Vice Chancellor, Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi State Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku on Wednesday, 22nd November, 2023 led other members of Management Staff of the institution to pay a congratulatory message on the Governor-Elect of the State Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo.
According to Balogun Omeiza David Head, Public Relations Unit, CUSTECH, Osara, said other management member in the team are; the Registrar, Ms. Olufunke Hudson, Bursar, Mr. John Alaji, Librarian, Mr. Jeremiah Salifu and the Director, Works and Maintenance, Arc. Usman M. Ahmed
Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku gave all thanks to God Almighty for a successful Governorship election that brought in Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo as the Governor-Elect.
He celebrated the Governor-Elect as one who has found great favour and grace in the hands his maker.
He heartily congratulated him on behalf of the entire CUSTECH, Osara Community for this great victory that God has brought for him while he also appreciated his contributions to the development of the institution.
Responding, the Governor-Elect Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo thanked Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku, a man he referred to as, “A father and tutor” for coming with the Management Staff to celebrate with him.
He described his victory at the gubernatorial poll as one that is for all and sundry in Kogi State.
While describing the election as one of the most peaceful in Kogi State, the Governor-Elect said that the visit by CUSTECH Management Staff wqs noy for him but for His Excellency, Alh. (Dr.) Yahaya Bello (CON).
He added that “I will continue to appreciate the Governor as I am not the most handsome, intelligent or peaceful but God Almighty placed it in his heart to give me this enormous load”.
He however opined that all hands must be on deck for this job placed into his hands to be properly done to the admiration of every Kogites.
Speaking further, Alhaji Ododo thanked the Management Staff of CUSTECH, Osara for working hard to make the university what it is today, saying “This visit will further spur the government to do more work for CUSTECH, Osara and the entire state”.
The Registrar of the institution, Ms Olufunke Hudson gave the vote of thanks after which the visiting CUSTECH Management took their exit.
