KOGI COUNCIL POLL : Hon. Aturu Ojo Urges Ogori-Magonogo People to Cast Their votes For APC

Ahead of Saturday local government elections in Kogi State, the Special Adviser to the state governor on Good Governance and Due Process, Hon. Aturu Ojo has called on the people of Ogori-Magonogo LGA to come out enmass and cast their votes for all the candidates of APC in the elections.

Hon. Aturu Ojo made the call in Lokoja on Thursday while interacting with newsmen on the forthcoming council’s election scheduled by SIEC to hold next Saturday in all the 21 LGAs and 239 wards of the state.

According to him, the All Progressive Congress APC has selected credible candidates during it’s primary elections, assuring that the candidates will no doubt deliver the desired dividend of democracy to the local government if elected as chairman and councillors.

He therefore called on the people of Ogori-Magonogo LGAs not to allow themselves to be deceived by opposition political parties who have nothing to offer, saying the electioneering campaigns embarked upon by APC in the local government has shown that the party has the interest of the masses at heart.

Hon. Aturu Ojo who also praised the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) for adequate preparation, urged the commission to conduct free , fair and credible elections.

He commended the Governor of the state His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for creating enabling environment for all the political parties to participate in the forthcoming council’s elections in the state, assuring that APC will win the 21 chairmanship positions and the 239 councillorship seats.
