Navy Out Post Idah distributes educational materials to pupils , students in Ofuloko Community

The Navy Out Post (NOP) , Idah has distributed educational materials to pupils in primary schools and students of UBE secondary schools at Ofuloko community in Igalamela/Odolu local government area of Kogi State to enhance their learning and performances.

The educational materials were distributed to over 600 pupils and students to enhance their learning.

Commanding officer NOP , Commander Nelson Oyagha while presenting the educational materials to the pupils and students of LGEA primary/UBE secondary school Ofuloko in Igalamela/Odolu local government area of Kogi State , said the Nigerian Navy would continue to ensure that its presence translates into tangible benefits for the communities within its operational areas.

Commander Oyagha, said the effort was under the directives of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogala, as part of Operation Delta Sanity 2.

He described the event as a demonstration of Navy’s continuous efforts to foster civil-military relations aimed at improving the well-being of the Ofuloko community.

“Education is the foundation upon which every progressive society is built. The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow, and equipping them with the necessary tools for learning is a step toward securing a brighter future.

“It is in this spirit that we have dedicated this day to the young scholars of L.G.E.A Primary/ U.B.E School, Ofuloko , Igalamela/ Odolu, whose motto, “Education is Light,” perfectly encapsulates the essence of today’s gathering.

“Recognizing that knowledge illuminates the path to progress, we have taken proactive steps to provide essential school materials such as school bags, water bottles, and writing materials. These resources, though modest, symbolize our unwavering belief in the potential of these young minds and our commitment to empowering them for a brighter future” Commander Oyagha stated.

Speaking further the Commander NOP expressed his deep appreciation over the support and cooperation of the executive chairman of Igalamela/Odolu local government area for his continuous demonstration of his commitment to the development of Ofuloko and other adjoining communities.

“His leadership and partnership with security agencies, including the Nigerian Navy, have been instrumental in fostering peace and progress in this region.

“We also recognize the educational representatives from the community and the local government, whose relentless efforts in championing education as a tool for development cannot be overemphasized. Their unwavering dedication to nurturing young minds has paved the way for a brighter future for this community.

“To the esteemed elders and the people of Ofuloko, we thank you for your hospitality and continued partnership” he said.

In his speech the chairman of Igalamela/Odolu local government area Hon. Cosmos Atabo who was represented by his chief of staff Hon. Zakari Adama commended the Nigerian Navy for prioritizing education of the younger ones in the communities and pledge the support and cooperation of his people to Navy Out Post , Idah to enhance their efficiency.
