Ogori Students’ Honours Prof. Ajayi Iyela with Distinguished Public Service Award

 

In appreciation of his contributions to the socio-economic development of Ogori-Magongo local government area of Kogi state, the Ogori Students Association (OSA) has conferred it’s highest award to the former Provost of Federal College of Education Okene Professor Iyela Ajayi.

The award took place at the weekend in the 2025 0SA Award Night and Talent Hunt held at the Civic Centre, Ogori in Ogori Magongo local government area.

The National President of the association, Comrade Oluwatoyosi Amurawaye praised the selfless service and contributions of Professor Iyela rendered to his community.

He said that the award is in recognition of his role in socio-economic development of the people of the area, particularly in facilitating admission and employment for the youths of the area.

“Professor Iyela has done a lot to the development of Ogori-Magongo local government area and as a result of his effort toward our community, he deserved our highest honour to spur him to do more and to also serve as a motivator to other indigenes of the local government” he stated.

Speaking at the award presentation ceremony, Professor Ajayi Iyela who is also the present Executive Secretary of National Secondary Education Board was represented by Mr Black Olowu, assuring the people of more support in years to come.

He urged the students to support government at all levels towards benefiting from various schemes designed for the students.
