Two persons lost their lives while fourteen passengers sustained injuries as 16-seater bus they were traveling in caught fire on motion at the popular Nataco section of Lokoja – Abuja expressway.
The accident occured on Thursday around 4pm when the bus which took off from Lokoja heading to the Northern part of the country suddenly burst into flames.
Eye witness account revealed that the two passengers that lost their lives were said to have been trapped in the bus while those who narrowly escaped sustained various degrees of burns and have been rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Lokoja by rescue team of Federal Road Safety Corps for treatment.
The cause of the fire is not yet ascertain as at the time of filing this report.
