The Kogi State Government has denounced the story that state pensioners were owed their March entitlement.

The government said on the contrary, there was delay in the payment of March pension due to banking logistics.

The state Commissioner of Finance, Asiwaju Asiru Idris spoke on behalf of government on the sideline of widely circulated rumour that the state governor, Yahaya Bello had used the March Pension to conduct his presidential flag-Off in Abuja forthnight ago.

Asiru said that government was not owing pensioners and attributed the difficulty in the March payments to network failure.
