The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has condoled the family of Arch. Yomi Awoniyi, the former Deputy Governor of Kogi State over the death of his mother, Madam Florence Ebun Awoniyi who died on Tuesday.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, Alhaji Ododo expressed shock over the demise of Madam Florence Awoniyi whom he described as a dedicated mother and a family woman who lived a life of grace and service until his last day on earth.
Ododo who commiserated with the entire Awoniyi family over the loss of their mother said it is painful for anyone to lose a loved one and more so when the loss is that of a loving and caring mother like the late Mrs Florence Awoniyi.
He enjoined the family of the former Deputy Governor to find solace in the knowledge that the late Mrs Florence Awoniyi lived a life worthy of emulation and prayed for the family to find the strength to bear the painful loss.
