The Director General, Odu Charity Network, Prince Momoh Enema has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to as a matter of urgency intervene by prevailing on EFCC to stop the continuous persecution and intimidation of former Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the interest of Kogi State.
Prince Enema who is a former Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Bello made the appeal on Tuesday while addressing the newsmen in Lokoja the Kogi State capital.
According to him , the incessant persecution , intimidation and harassment of the immediate past governor of the State Yahaya Bello by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC has started affecting the progress and development of the State.
“The activities of the EFCC was an atmosphere of distraction, and may lead to rancour and acrimony. This situation is hindering the peace and development of our dear state.
“I am using this medium to appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to call the EFCC to order and refrain from distracting our present Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo from delivering his electioneering campaign promises to the people of the State” the grassroot politician said.
While congratulating Nigerians for the country’s 64th independence anniversary, Prince Momoh Enema, stated that the coming of President Tinubu’s administration offered a ray of hope through his Renew Hope Agenda.
He praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for consolidating on the numerous achievements of the immediate past Governor, Yahaya Bello, saying 75 per cent of his cabinet and other appointment are youth.
“I’m appealing to President Tinubu to wade into this saga between former Governor of Kogi State in the interest of development of the state. Governor Ododo is trying his best especially in the areas of human capital development and infrastructure that was why the Kogi people love him” he stated.
