Hon. Aturu lauds Governor Ododo for Approving Payment of Bursary Allowance to Kogi Students

The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Good Governance and Due Process Hon. Aturu Ojo has applauded Kogi State Governor His Excellency Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for graciously
approving the sum of 316 million naira for the payment of bursary allowance to 8,750 cleared undergraduate students of Kogi State origin.

Hon. Aturu gave the commendation in Lokoja on Friday while commenting on the welfare of Kogi students studying in various tertiary institutions across the country.

He said that the governor in the last ten months of his administration has committed a lot toward the upliftment of education sector, noting that the payment of the nursery allowance to the students would go a long way in assisting the students especially in the areas of feeding and transportation.

“His Excellency ,Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has demonstrated that he is a father to all irrespective of tribes and religion. His effort in moving the education sector forward is second to non in the entire north central.

“What the people need to do especially Kogi students is for them to continue supporting the laudable programmes and policies of Governor Ododo led administration to succeed”

While calling on all students of Kogi origin to focus on their studies, the Special Adviser urged them to shun vices that are inimical to their future.

“Our Governor has given his support to all students of Kogi state to succeed in their respective chosen courses of studies. Any course you are studying you should be very serious so that you can come out with flying colours at the end.

“I am also using this medium to commend the commissioner for education in Kogi state, Hon. Wemi Jones for his tireless effort in ensuring that the sector improves in infrastructure and quality teaching” he stated.
