Kogi Speaker Declare to run for 2023 Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Fed Constituency , Promise robust representation

The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole has declared to contest the 2023 Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu election with a promise to provide qualitative representation at the national Level.

Kolawole made disclosed this on Sunday during his declaration of intent to contest the 2023 Kabba-Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency seat under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Speaker who also hosted his annual Widows Empowerment Programme used the occasion to commend the 30 Ward Executives of the party at the federal constituency, urged them to continue to give their support for the overall success of the party in the area.

He said the need to provide quality representation motivated his decision to join the race, saying he has gathered enough experience as a two term Lawmaker.

“I have been in the House of Assembly for a couple of years now and it is my intention to run for Federal House of Representatives to representing the good people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu under APC come 2023.”

According to him, he has spent the last seven years in providing skill acquisition for his Constituents with several Empowerment, noting that If given the mandate, he will use the position to do more to affect lives of the down trodden.

“While in the State House of Assembly, I have used my office to facilitate employment, we have facilitated projects to the Constituency, provision of boreholes, youth Empowerment, rural electrification, skill Acquisition and so on. If given the opportunity to represent my people, I intend to do more” he said.
