Special Adviser, Aturu Ojo Applauds Kogi Youth For Shunning National Protest

The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Good Governance and Due Process Honourable Aturu Ojo has commended Kogi Youth for shunning national protest in the interest of peaceful coexistence of the state.

Honourable Aturu gave the commendation on Saturday in Lokoja while reacting to some ugly incidents that happened in some states across the country as a result of the protest.

According to him, Kogi youth have done remarkably well by heeding to various calls by our leader His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Elder statesmen , Stakeholders, Traditional rulers not to participate in the protest that has resulted in wanton destruction of lives and property in some states.

He said “the national protest against ‘bad governance’ that occurred in some states of the federation saw many youths participating in the demonstrations and engaging in wanton destruction of properties demanding for change and reforms that is already being embarked upon by the present administration led by His Excellency, our father President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Available information indicated that some states government had to impose curfew to curb the excesses of the protesters who have turned themselves to looters and agents of destruction. It is factual that peace had already eluded such states and that is what our leader His Excellency Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo does not want to happen in Kogi state.

“So I am using this medium to once again congratulate the ever dynamic youth of Kogi state for choosing to take a different path, a path of wisdom, understanding and peaceful coexistence which has been the prayer of Kogi state government and its people.

“It is also worthy to mention that by shunning the protest, Kogi youth have shown their confidence in the concerted effort put in place by the federal government in addressing the various economic challenges facing the country”
