New Executives of the Egbira Peoples Association (EPA) Worldwide have been inaugurated in Bayelsa State to handle the affairs of the Association for the next three years.
The new Excos include Comrade Audu Hassan – Chairman, Ibrahim S. Zakari – Vice Chairman, Ayeni Kabir Hammed – Secretary, Mrs. Grace Baffoe – Treasurer, Muhammed D. Yunusa – Assistant Secretary and Mrs. Precious Ariyo – Financial Secretary.
Others are Mrs. Habibat Abdulrahaman – Assisant Financial Secretary, Deacon Shaibu David – Auditor General, Mrs. Mariam Isah – Assistant Women Leader, Yusuf Muhammed M. – Youth Leader, Abdulrahaman – Assistant Youth Leader and Suleiman Ogirima – Provost Marshall.
Speaking on behalf of the new Executives, the Chairman, Egbira Peoples Association (EPA) Worldwide, Bayelsa State Chapter, Comrade Audu Hassan, appreciated members of Egbira Community in the State for finding them worthy to serve.
Comrade Hassan promised that the new Executives of the Body in the State will live up to expectations in the discharge of their responsibilities, calling on Egbiras in the diaspora to remain law abiding citizens and always contribute their quota to the growth and development of the Society.
The event which was also the end of the Year celebration of the Association, witnessed the outing of an Egbira Masquerade called ANEKU’UZOMI in Bayelsa State and Presentation of Frame to EPA President General Dr. Godwin Oyibo, which was received by his his representative – Mall. Nuhu Lawal.
Others who received the Association’s gift Frame include; EPA Matron in Bayelsa State – Hajia Rukayat Ikato, Patron – Mallam Haruna Isah and Presentation of Certificate to the new Executives.
The event was attended by Arewa Community Vice Chairman, Alhaji Shagari, the Vice Chairman of
Muslim Community in Bayelsa – Alh. Usman, Chief Imam in Bayelsa State – Alh. Abu Sufiyan, the Onu Igala in Bayelsa, Odeyi aniegbira in Bayelsa State Deputy – Mall. Hassan Bajeh, among others.
The occasion also afforded Egbiras in Bayelsa State to come together, shared love, chart the way forward, and also heep praises on Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo for the works he has been doing since his assumption of Office and urged him to continue in his good works – assuring the Association’s support at all times.
