Another landmark event was been recorded in the College today 26th of September, 2015 as the out gone Provost Dr. Umar Hassan MNAE handed over the leadership of the College to the new Provost Dr. Ibrahim Ismaila Mosimabale, the first internal and the 11th Provost of College.
Even though the handing over speeches were virtually conducted via zoom, the atmosphere was full of excitements and expectations.
In his speech the out gone Provost expressed his utmost gratitude to the Almighty God for the opportunity given him to serve successfully for 8 years.
He likewise appreciated members of the College Management and staff for their support through out the period.
He further highlighted the successes recorded and charged the new Provost to consolidate on them and also to surpass them at the completion of his tenure.
While responding, the new Provost, Dr. Mosimabale Ibrahim thanked God for the opportunity and pledged to hold it as sacred and not to disappoint.
He highlighted some innovative initiatives which according to him would be of significant advantage to the College. These include, open door policy, community engagement, introduction of new programmes and policies,among others.
He also assured of his administration’s desire to ensure that the much awaited dual mode commences in earnest. As all that was required to set things in motion would be adequately provided.
He further called on the College Community to as always support his administration, as according to him , this administration is theirs.
The handing over ceremony even though,, it was brief, but was attended by members of the College Management and some invited staff. The event also witnessed the unveilling of the a book titled Tenure Report , it’s a compilation of the achievements under Dr. Umar Hassan’s leadership.
