The Vice-Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba, Professor K.I.T. Eniola, has extended warm felicitations to members of staff of the institution on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration.
In a statement signed by Oshaloto Tade, the Vice-Chancellor commended the university workforce for their diligence, professionalism, and resilience, describing them as the backbone of the institution’s academic excellence, administrative efficiency, and steady growth.
Professor Eniola noted that the progress recorded by the university in teaching, research, and community service was a direct reflection of the dedication and sacrifices of staff across all cadres.
He particularly lauded the contributions of both academic and non-academic staff, whose daily efforts, he said, continue to strengthen institutional capacity, improve service delivery, and sustain the university’s reputation as a centre of learning and innovation.
Speaking on the theme of this year’s May Day celebration, “Insecurity, Poverty—Bane of Decent Work,” the Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed the commitment of the university management and government to ensuring a secure, inclusive, and conducive working environment that enhances staff welfare and productivity.
He also reiterated management’s resolve to implement policies and initiatives aimed at improving working conditions, supporting career development, and promoting a culture of excellence and equity within the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor urged staff to remain dedicated, uphold high standards of professionalism, and embrace continuous learning in the discharge of their duties.
