14 Families of Deceased Police Officers get #9.8M IGP’s Welfare Insurance Package in Kogi

Kogi State Police Command on Thursday presented a welfare package of N9.8 million to the families of fourteen deceased Police Officers who died in active service across the state.

Presenting the cheques to the families of the deceased policemen on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Alkali Baba Usman, the Commissioner of Police , Kogi State Command CP Edward Egbuka , said the gesture was part of IGP’s “Family welfare Insurance” aimed at improving the welfare of the families of the deceased Police Officers.

He pointed out that the aim was to boost the morale of other officers who are in active service.

The Commissioner of Police lauded the Inspector General of Police for assisting in reducing the hardship faced by the families of the deceased police officers.

He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money for the betterment of their families.

The beneficiaries, appreciate the IGP for the gesture and promised to make use of the the money for the benefits of their families.
