The Kogi NGOs Network (KONGONET) has described the news of the death of Mrs. Zainab Adeiza, wife of the Chairman, Kogi State chapter of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) as a rude shock.
This was contained in a statement signed by Ambassador Idris Ozovehe Muraina and Success Adejoh, Chairperson and Public Relations Officer respectively which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Sunday.
The coalition of civil society organisations urged the NUJ Chairman, Alhaji Adeiza Momohjimoh, to remain strong with unshakeable faith in Almighty God.
Part of the statement reads “With rude shock we received the news of the death of Hajia Zainab Adeiza Wife of our own brothers and patriot, Alhaji Adeiza Momoh Jimoh – the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kogi State.
“It was indeed a huge loss but we take solace in the fact that God gives and He takes.
“KONGONET condole with the entire family of the departed and pray God to grant the husband, children and all she has left behind the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. May her soul rest in peace,”
