Igala Students’ Association, University of Jos chapter has unanimously declared their unalloyed support and total endorsement of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate Alhaji Murtala Yakubu Ajaka for the November 11 governorship election in Kogi state.
The endorsement letter which was contained in a letter duly signed by the Comrade Omale Johnpaul and Comrade Alhassan Habeeb, President and Secretary General respectively was addressed to the flag bearer of the party.
The letter said that for several months now the leadership of the association and the entire Igala students of the institution had the opportunity to observe and evaluate the perspectives and agenda of the various candidates for the forthcoming governorship election in Kogi state, but concluded that Alhaji Murtala Yakubu Ajaka is the right person for the position of Governor of the state.
They described the SDP candidate as a honest, pragmatic leader and who had an insight into community’s problems and needs.
The association noted that the
willingness of the SDP governorship candidate to examine the issues and listen closely to the public’s questions and concerns, sets him far apart from the other candidates contesting the election.
The students’ association stated that they write to express their support for Ajaka Candidacy, stressing that members of the association are ready to vote massively for SDP, noting that they are also ready to spread the good news of his laudable policies and abilities to lead.
