The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has held it’s National Executive Council Meeting in Abuja, with the Kogi State Chairman, Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo calling for unity, together in the interest of the party ahead of 2027.
The NEC meeting of the PDP is the first coming after the court ruling that affirmed the Caretaker Chairman, of Hon. Abdulrahman Muhammed.
Briefing Journalists in Lokoja the Chairman of Kogi State chapter of PDP, Hon. Gambo, described the meeting as one that came with a far reaching decisions that will reposition the PDP for victory.
He said with the judgement that affirmed Abdulrahman Muhammed as Caretaker Chairman, the time has come for every members of the party to put the interest of the party over and above any personal interest.
“It is high time we sacrifice personal interest for the collective interest of the Party so that we can move forward as a formidable opposition that will defeat the ruling party comes 2027” he said.
He described PDP as the leading opposition Party, saying having ruled the country for several years, the party has all it takes to reposition the country for prosperity.
Hon. Gambo, particularly called on PDP members in Kogi State to come together and build a strong and indivisible Party.
He appealed to the members to sheath their swords, pointing out that the ruling and constitution is supreme.
He praised the Hon. Abdulrahman Muhammed led leadership, insisting that he has shown capacity to move the Party forward.
He said the law requires the PDP to hold NEC meeting, said now the PDP has a platform to return to power in 2027, assuring that very soon Nigerians will return to it path of prosperity.
